Hey hardgainers. Sorry I haven't talked about some great ways to gain weight for my last few posts. I have been on and off with many different subjects, but right now I want to discuss with you a very important aspect of your training. Running. How often should you run while you're trying to gain weight? How often should I run if I am trying to gain weight

Alright, so you want to gain weight, but you're worried about how much you're allowed to run. If you're trying to bulk up, running is still important. I discussed the issue with a Personal Trainer at the Gold's Gym in Salem.

Running and weight gain tips from a P.T.

The PT told me that running is a very important aspect of your training even if you're trying to gain weight. He said to eat a lot and he said to run 3 times a week and 20 minutes each time for a total of 60 minutes a week.

My advice on running and gaining weight.

The amount of time you should run can vary from person to person, but I think that three twenty minute periods every week should be about right. Running more is ok, but again, the more you run, the more calories you burn. With that being said, if you decide to run more and you still want to make gains, make sure to eat more food.

Schumacher Homes

It's almost time for the holidays. I know, I realize that I continue to say this throughout all of my posts, but it is true. What can I say? I love December. As Christmas nears, we all think about taking a few days off, traveling, and enjoying the holiday seasons together.

As many of us may have different holiday traditions, we all probably have a few things in common. However, what do we truly want this holiday season and every holiday season to come? Well, of course we want to spend it with our family, but what else do we want? We want a nice home to spend the holiday seasons in.

Christmas Flowers

Christmas Flowers

Christmas is just around the corner and everyone is becoming quite excited for the holiday season. Every Christmas I get together with family and friends. We eat food, hang out, and open presents. It serves for quite a time. I would say that dinner on Christmas Eve is probably the most important time of Christmas. Everyone sits together at the same table and takes their time to enjoy and appreciate everyone else. We all tell stories and usually talk about college football. Duck fans talk their talk and the Beaver fans basically do the same. Decorations are always present. Dolls and flowers are greatly consistent around dinner time. Lift heavy build muscle

Alright hardgainers, this is a must follow tip. You must lift heavy to build muscle. I don't have too much time on my hands to go into this, but here is the general idea of lifting heavy.

Your last few reps should be quite difficult

The main idea of lifting heavy is to make your last few reps rather difficult.
  • Put on more weight and do less repetitions per set.
  • Finish all your set reps.
  • Ask a spotter for help if you need it.

Hardgainer Diet

A hardgainer's diet can be and probably is the most important part of training. A hardgainer must eat 6 meals a day to gain weight and there is no doubt about that.
Hardgainer Diet More importantly, a hardgainer must have a high caloric intake. Taking protein supplements just isn't enough.

Percentages are important, but I don't like them...

I don't like getting into percentages. Sure,
  • Carb
  • Fat
  • And Protein
percentages are important. But do you really want to keep track of this stuff?

When you were a kid, how did you gain weight?

When you were a kid, what did you do to gain weight? You ate food. You didn't keep track of all this other garbage. Now again, I am not saying that keeping track of your carb, fat, and protein intake isn't important. However, I am saying that the main way to gain weight is to eat 6 healthy meals a day.
